For Product Managers, hiring decisions go beyond job titles, years of experience, and qualifications - they involve understanding how a candidate thinks, communicates their work, demonstrates impact, and approaches product challenges.

Join us for an engaging Industry Connect session with Mritunjay Kumar, Head of Product Management at SAP, as we explore “Beyond the Resume: What Gets PMs Hired?” Drawing from his experience in product leadership, Mritunjay will share practical perspectives on what hiring managers evaluate beyond what is written on a resume and what can help PM candidates create a stronger impression throughout the hiring process. 

In the first 45 minutes, the speaker will share practical insights on positioning your product experience, communicating impact, and navigating the expectations of today’s product hiring landscape. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of what hiring managers assess beyond qualifications and experience, along with the factors that can strengthen or weaken a PM candidate’s chances during the hiring process.

The session will conclude with a 15-minute live Q&A, giving participants an opportunity to ask questions around PM interviews, career positioning, showcasing impact, and navigating product hiring processes. This interactive segment will offer direct, experience-led perspectives on what can make or break a PM candidate when competing for product roles.

Mritunjay Kumar is a product and platform leader with nearly two decades of experience building and scaling enterprise software across identity, security, business networks, SaaS, and ecosystem collaboration. He currently serves as Head of Product Management at SAP, focusing on ecosystem collaboration and AI-native platforms.

Previously, Mritunjay led OpenText’s Business Network and content collaboration portfolio, scaling products to millions of users and managing a multi-million-dollar ARR portfolio. His experience spans 0–1 product launches, product-led growth, monetisation, GTM, portfolio strategy, and global product leadership, giving him a strong perspective on turning complex enterprise challenges into products that deliver measurable business outcomes.
