ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Kapil Verma is a Chief Product Officer at MakeMyTrip and is responsible for spearheading the product portfolio of Hotels and Alternate Accommodation line of business. With over 18 years of global experience in product management, product marketing and general management, Kapil has worked across various industries including travel, e-commerce, food tech, technology, and financial services.
Prior to joining MakeMyTrip, Kapil was at Swiggy where he led the product function for the restaurant side of the marketplace, as well as new product development for the new supply (cloud kitchens) business, post order customer experience, Trust & Safety, among others. His earlier stints include Amazon India where he launched and scaled up the Amazon Business (B2B Marketplace) in India and led product management, category management and marketing functions for the Amazon India B2B business. Prior to Amazon, he was associated with Adobe where he spent six years managing the product portfolio for Adobe Technical communications suite of products. Prior to this, he worked at McKinsey and Capital One Financial in the USA. He started his career as a Software Engineer at Microland Technologies, in Bangalore.
He has earned his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi.
